This page contains information and pictures of some of our interior and exterior design selections for our new house.

 

Exterior Brick Color (shown at left) - "Brookhaven" from Boral Bricks.

Exterior Paint Color selections -

Hardiplank, shutters, garage door - "Squirrel" (A brownish gray).

Trim - "Snow Mist" (basically white).
   
Foyer Light - This lantern is approximately 42" tall and about 22" wide. It will be hung in the 2-story entry way and will be visible from the front of the house through the large window over the front door. It holds 6 bulbs. Click on picture to see a larger image.
   
Canvas Art - We were both instantly attracted to this oil print we found at Sam's. The picture itself measures 30"H x 40" wide. With the frame it is approximately 41"H x 51"wide. We plan to hang this in one of the large art niches in the foyer. Click on the picture for a bigger image.
   

Kitchen Countertop Selection - "Ravenna Nuovo" (shown at left) Avanza from US Stone. Avanza is basically crushed granite in resin. It is supposed to be more water and heat resistant than regular granite (and is also less expensive).
   

Refrigerator - GE Profile Arctica. This refrigerator has a capacity of 25.3 cubic feet and comes with an express thaw/chill drawer, adjustable shelves and lots of other neat features.
   
Dishwasher - GE Profile Built-in dishwasher. We upgraded to this dishwasher in May, after finding out that the original dishwasher we had selected was not energy star rated, and had been discontinued. This model is also newer and looks more sleek than the old one.
   
Kitchen and Breakfast Area Wallpaper - From the "Abby Garden" wallpaper book.
   
Breakfast Table and Chairs - This is the breakfast set we plan to buy for our breakfast area. It is in the Santa Rosa collection by Hooker Furniture.
   
Kitchen Barstools - This is a picture of the barstools we plan to buy to go by the bar/island in the kitchen. It is also in the Santa Rosa collection by Hooker Furniture.
   
Kitchen floor Tile - Fiorito Porcelain tile from Daltile in "Aqua". This tile will be used in the Kitchen, breakfast room, guest bathroom ad the utility room.
   
Guest Bathroom Wallpaper - This wallpaper is called "pagoda" from Eisenhart's Andalusia wallpaper book We had originally picked a different wallpaper, but were informed on May 9th, that the wallpaper had been discontinued, so we were forced to re-select.
   

Hardwood Floors - in Foyer and Dining Room. Hartco's Kingsford Strip in "English Walnut" (shown at left).

Kitchen Cabinet Color - "Burnt Sienna" Oak cabinets by Kentmoore Cabinets. "Burnt Sienna" is a dark color with some hints of red.
   
Family Room Sofa - This is a picture of the sofa we will have in the family room. It is in the Athena collection by Bernhardt. Our pillows will have a slightly different fabric than the one shown here. We custom ordered ours from Dillard's and plan to have it delivered directly to the new house in March.
   
Console table - We found this at a Tent sale at a local furniture store for a bargain price. =) It is from Fairmont Designs. We are not sure if we will actually put this behind the sofa or elsewhere in the family room or possibly dining room...
   
Fireplace - The picture at left shows the fireplace we selected. The fireplace is made by Cast Fireplaces. In the center above the arch is a small lion's head. We also upgraded the hearth to be 8" thick.
   
The Bacchanalian Festival Wall Frieze - We received this piece from my Mom for Christmas. It is from Design Toscano and is approximately 27" high and 27" wide. This will most likely end up above our fireplace.
   
Master Bathroom Tile - "Tibet Iron" ceramic tile from EM Tile. We had to re-select our tile on March 28th, because the original tile we had selected ("Gothic" from Daltile in Pumice Gray) was on backorder.
   
Master Bathroom Wallpaper - From the "Gardens of Augusta" wallpaper book.
   
Upstairs Bathroom Tile - Edgefield tile from Daltile in "Green".

Wallplates for Media room - This is a picture of the wallplates we purchased to hook up speakers in the media room. Ben ran all the THX rated speaker wire and installed electrical boxes to attach these wallplates to later.
   
Washer & Dryer - Kenmore Elite HE3 Washer and Dryer.
